Park Visit in Guiyang

Andrew played with the TV remote control. He knew to point it at the TV. He is very good with buttons and likes to push them. We let him push the elevator buttons.

Andrew was in a good mood and we played while each of us showered. Jason unplugged the telephone and Andrew liked to play with it. We went to the breakfast buffet in the hotel and Andrew ate more than we have seen him eat before. He likes lots of different types of fruit and sausage.

We met Vicki and the driver took us about 30 minutes away to a Mountain/Monkey park. We saw a speed tram track being built that would take 3 hours to get to Guangzhou. Everything is really green and blooming and there is a large lake inside the park. We saw people doing exercises and different fun activities. We then drove up through the mountain and saw almost 100 monkeys on the way to the top.

Once at the top we went inside a Buddhist temple. It was really neat to see how they worship. Some of the biggest incense sticks I have ever seen. They were about an inch diameter and about 3 feet long. We weren’t allowed to take any pictures in there.

After the park the guide took us to lunch. Andrew fell asleep right after we left. The driver dropped us off and we walked. The place Vicki was going to take us was under construction. So we went to a local noodle place. We had rice noodles and wheat noodles with meat. Andrew woke up and he also ate with us.

We will meet at 10:30am tomorrow for our museum tour and to pick up Andrew’s passport! Once back in the room we tried to get Andrew to take a nap. It almost worked, but he is very stubborn if it’s not his idea! Parents 0 Andrew 1, looks like no nap today!
